It is gonna be a fantastic evening for “Imagine Dragons” fans as the popular American band comes to the Spanish capital on June 28 in 2025. The event is held at Wanda Metropolitano, a big outdoor stadium in Madrid. Normally, the stadium is used to host the matches of Atletico Madrid, but it will open up to even more people as “Imagine Dragons” comes to Madrid in the end of June 2025.
The Wanda Metropolitano originally opened in 1994 as “La Peineta” and served primarily as an athletics stadium. However, in 2017, the stadium underwent a significant transformation and it was redeveloped as the home ground for Atlético Madrid. Until then, Atletico Madrid played their matches at the Vicente Calderón, but since then, Wanda Metropolitano is the new stadium of the team. The stadium’s name comes from a sponsorship deal with Wanda Group.
On a normal football match, the stadium has capacity for about 65,000 people, but when Imagine Dragons comes to Madrid, there will be even more people at the stadium ready to dance along and sing along as Imagine Dragons plays their biggest hits such as “Believer”, “Enemy”, “Demons”, and lots of other songs.
You can buy tickets for the concerts at the Viagogo website. If you are able to find them elsewhere (cheaper), that is even better, but if you have no other option, then you can easily buy overpriced tickets at Viagogo.
If you are unable to be there at the Imagine Dragons concert in Madrid, then you should also consider traveling to Barcelona where the band will perform on July 1, 2025.
“Imagine Dragons” concert in Madrid
Location: Wanda Metropolitano
Date: June 28, 2025
Some people have wondered whether there will be a second concert with Imagine Dragons in Madrid or not. We saw this happen in Prague, London, Budapest, and some other cities, but it has not yet been confirmed in Madrid. It would be great to see it happen, but we cannot say anything for sure yet.
Do not forget to book your hotel room early if you want to live close to the stadium, or maybe live in a nice apartment in the city center of Madrid. It is also wise to buy your entrance tickets to Prado and other museums early, because you might often have to stand a long time in queue if you come unprepared (that is, without a ticket).
Are there any other things happening in Madrid this summer that I should know of?
There are always things happening, and even if there shouldn’t be, the city has lots of beautiful attractions and museums you should visit, and it is always wonderful to go for a walk in the El Retiro Park. You can also read more about upcoming concerts, festivals, exhibitions, running competitions, and other events in Madrid right here.
How do I travel to the stadium?
It is very easy. Use the metro and travel with line seven to the stop named “Estadio Metropolitano.” That’s it! You are now at the stadium and you are ready to watch an Atletico Madrid match, or even better, even Imagine Dragons live in front of more than 70,000 people.
